Putting the FUN into Fundraisers

The financial downturn affects everyone, but very often the areas where charities cut expenditure are the areas where they need at least to maintain their current spending or even increase it. And there’s an overall attitude that is a natural reaction to hard financial times that means people are less comfortable with asking for donations. The crucial factor to remember is that the needs of the charity and the need to raise funds continues. Sometimes the call for assistance and donations may even be increased by a recession. So now is the time to be asking for help. But, if you are a charity or running a fundraiser you need to feel at ease with doing so. State your case plainly and honestly and you’ll find most people very amenable to the idea of lending a helping hand or putting money in the funds box.

Our Little Jimmy’s Italian Ice pushcarts and trucks are an increasingly regular and popular attraction at fundraisers. We really do put the FUN in Fundraisers. It’s hard to be too downcast when you’re faced with 20 different flavored delicious cool desserts to choose from! Even in a recession.
