If we had to put in a single word what exactly ‘Little Jimmy’s brings to an event then we’d probably say ‘tradition’. While our mobile units and even our pushcarts are all built to the latest specifications the concept of Italian Ice and, in our company’s case, its long established family history has an air of something that’s always been there. Of course our secret recipe has been in use for 75 years and we make our ices without the use of modern machinery, but that’s not it. When we thought about it it seemed to have more to do with how people of all ages view the ice cream or ice cart. Everyone has memories of the ices man coming into the neighborhood and that inner thrill the thought of all those goodies gave us a children. That’s why we really believe, and we’ve witnessed this firsthand, that Jimmy’s Italian Ices aren’t just for children. Our desserts are hands-on treats. Okay, it’s great to eat desserts from dishes and silver spoons from time to time, but there’s really nothing like getting truly involved licking a refreshing ice on a sweltering hot day. Takes you back, doesn’t it. Sigh.

At the risk of sounding a bit technical here the first day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere falls on June 21^st. But this depends on exactly where you are.  If you are in Western North America then you’re some of the lucky ones who get to celebrate summer a little earlier, on June 20^th. What this means in technical terms is that the Earth’s North Pole axis is tipped virtually directly in the sun’s direction. This translates, for most of us, to “It’s Summer!” That means warm weather and fun, doesn’t it? Yes, hopefully it will be a good summer but it’s also time, with less than a month to go, to get your plans for any corporate events well under way.
